2018 Chevron Retail Convention

In October of 2018, Chevron hosted a convention in the Phoenix Convention Center to bring all of their North American Retailers and Marketers together for the first time in 10 years. They looked to Hyperquake to help create the entire experience.

They were looking for a way to create a ‘destination’ where these friends, colleagues, partners and customers could reconnect and learn from each other and hear from Chevron on where their journey is taking them. One contiguous immersive environment for their general session stage, partner trade fair, dining and networking areas, and a special place to showcase all of Chevron’s great programs and products seemed like the perfect ‘living room’ to host their guests.

Hyperquake converted 5 convention halls into a theatrically designed immersive environment under the unifying story and theme “”Our Journey.”” Every area was designed with exquisite detail to make attendees realize that they are partnering with the right company – buying and selling the best oil in the business with a great company. The theme acknowledged the journey that many of these guests have been making with Chevron for generations, as well as the new retailers who are just beginning their journey with Chevron. Most importantly, the journey is being made together. Chevron supports and enables success for their Retailers and Marketers every step of the way. This event made it clear that Chevron is committed to their partners.

HQ provided creative direction, design, executive production, and project management across the entire program and massive space. From projection mapping on a beautiful Series 5 BMW announcing Techron’s amazing new claim, to the Chevron Cafe’ and giant LED video wall to keep important messaging and sponsors going at all times, to the General Session stage, Hyperquake’s production team made this an event to remember. In addition, Hyperquake wrote all executive speeches, and contracted former president George W. Bush and Ron Insanata to provide inspiring and once-in-a-life-time experiences. All video content and production were also provided and managed by Hyperquake.
