The 2018 Do Good Initiative Application is Open!

By Emily Zalla

We’re proud to announce today that applications are open for our second annual Do Good Initiative. We designed this program to support local change-makers by providing pro bono creative services to a deserving local nonprofit.

We’ll be accepting written applications until June 30 from local nonprofits who believe their mission and reach could benefit from free creative brand services. We’ll then conduct interviews with a short-list and announce the selected organization by July 31.

On Friday, October 12 and Saturday, October 13, 2018, the chosen organization will attend a 2-day brand development event here at Hyperquake, where they’ll have the opportunity to work with our strategists, designers, and project leaders to develop their brand identity into something their stakeholders can continue to be proud of. We’ll also partner with talented locals to provide other creative services in support of the new brand, like photography, collateral printing, or production, to help the nonprofit serve more people and touch more hearts.

In 2017, our first annual Do Good Initiative provided a new name, brand identity, and supporting materials for Fourthwall Youth Studios (previously Stages for Youth), a nonprofit dedicated to introducing Cincinnati’s youth to the creative industry through the making of short films. Fourthwall has since moved into a permanent studio space in OTR and expanded to include an after-school program. View the work created during last year’s initiative.

All 501(c)3 nonprofits who serve a core audience within metropolitan Cincinnati are invited to apply. Questions can be directed to [email protected].

If you’re a creative looking to contribute, please contact [email protected] to share your interest and capabilities. Services for which we may need volunteers could include photography, videography, collateral printing or production, copywriting, or web development.
