WHAT IS YOUR POSITION HERE AT HYPERQUAKE?
I’m the HR Manager/house mom/guidance counselor. 🙂
WHEN DID YOU START WORKING AT HYPERQUAKE?
I started working here in 2010. There was a unexpected fire drill during my interview, so we had to evacuate and continue in the lobby of a nearby hotel. Seems like yesterday.
WHERE WERE YOU BORN AND RAISED?
I was born & raised in KY. I attended all schooling in the state, and I’ve never lived anywhere else!
WHAT HOBBIES OR PASSIONS DO YOU HAVE?
I love retail outlet shopping, hunting for a great find at a second hand store, bringing old furniture back to life, cooking, traveling and spending time with my family.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE BANDS, T.V. SHOWS, AND MOVIES?
I’m so easygoing that I don’t really have a favorite band or tv show. I do love Adele, and her latest release has been on repeat. As far as favorite movies, anyone that knows me knows that I love gangster movies like The Godfather, Goodfellas, Scarface & Carlito’s Way.
WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO GET INTO YOUR FIELD OF WORK?
I studied business management & labor relations in college, but really got into Human Resources after a mentor recommended the field to me. I tried it and it has proven to be a perfect match for my skill sets!
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE EXPERIENCE AT HYPERQUAKE?
Hands down, getting to know amazing people. From our partners to our co op students, we all genuinely care for one another. The positive vibe here is real—nothing fake.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE TYPES OF PROJECTS?
Because I’m able to indirectly influence project work, I would have to say any project that allows us to be really creative or inspirational. Our team flourishes in that environment, so when our people are the most happy, that makes me happy!
WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
I am most inspired by my daughter. The inspiration comes from her honesty and ability to be so confident and sure of herself, at such a young age. She loves stopping by Hyperquake and thinks it’s awesome that I get to work here! She inspires me to be a better person, and she’s not at all afraid to hold me accountable. 🙂
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT?
I would love to continue to learn more about the agency world, and what makes an agency stand out from the competition. Since my early background was not in the agency space, there always seems to be something new I can learn!
