Addressing the rise in drug addiction in the Oxford, Ohio area starts with showing the hope of recovery, community and a brighter future.
The Oxford Area Addiction Response Initiative, in partnership with the community, provides a comprehensive recovery-oriented system of care and prevention. They asked Hyperquake to help them in promoting their mission and addiction recovery services in Oxford, Ohio. We were excited for the opportunity to develop a strategic approach that puts purpose and people at the center of their message. The result was an exciting new brand campaign worthy of their cause and the great work they do for the area.
In this Public Service Campaign, we are highlighting the collective and individual residents of Oxford on their path to be advocates for change.

success for the campaign
The Oxford area is a tight-knit community but the stigma of addiction still leaves those in need people from family and resources for support. The board’s goal for this campaign was to focus on awareness of the initiative and to remove the stigma associated with addiction so that people feel more motivated to seek and offer help
Identifying our audience
After our immersive discovery process, we identified three distinct audiences to segment our strategy for the campaign: Miami University students, rural residents and the collective community. We created key messaging and design principles to resonate specifically with each group and motivate action using the empowerment of hope for their communities.

Our campaign narrative and messaging focused on the hope of moving away from addiction, while our visuals centered around the dynamic pathways each individual takes towards recovery.
